Looks like the Portland Thorns FC are going to have to do without their star national team players for yet another game. Christine Sinclair, Alex Morgan and Rachel Buehler have all been called up -- to nobody's surprise -- for national team games this weekend.
Sinclair will travel with the Canadian women's team to take on Germany in Paderborn, Germany. The Germen women's team is currently ranked second in the world. This game will take place June 19th.
Morgan and Buehler have already joined the USWNT in Boston, MA where they'll take on the Korean women's team. That match will be played on Saturday at 4:30pm. After that, the national teamers will head to Harrison, NJ where they'll play the Korean women's team once again.
The press release notes that Tobin Heath is joining the national team and is expected to join up with the Portland Thorns later this summer, though no exact date was given.
It's also worth pointing out that Karina LeBlanc did not travel so, at the very least, the Thorns won't be without their starting keeper.
What do you think about the Thorns playing another game without their national teamers?
