The Portland Timbers practiced at Jeld-Wen Field this morning as they made their regular tactical tweaks going into tomorrow afternoon's match against the Colorado Rapids. The Timbers are in the midst of their most intense stretch of games this season, and this will be Wednesday's starters' only field practice, after having spent Friday going through a pool workout to aid in their recovery.
Injuries and Absences
Futty Danso was out on the pitch for today's warmups. Although he looked a little stiff during some of the exercises before practice was closed it was reportedly his second day in training since getting injured. After practice, Caleb Porter said that Futty is healthy and will be available tomorrow.
Michael Harrington did not practice today and, according to Caleb Porter after practice, will be out for tomorrow's match against the Rapids.
Rodney Wallace was back in training today after returning to Portland on Wednesday. Wallace also practiced on Thursday alongside the Timbers who did not play against the Galaxy. Although Porter refused to say if Wallace would start, he did say that Rodney gives the team a more "penetrating" look than Kalif Alhassan, and followed that up. Saying that the team would look to penetrate against Colorado.
Jake Gleeson joined Dylan Tucker-Gangnes in missing practice due to a concussion today. Gleeson picked up his injury in practice yesterday, while DTG has been out thanks to a concussion, also suffered in practice, since last week.
Trialists and Guest Players
David Meves was in practice with the Timbers against today after logging his sixth shutout with the Timbers U-23s last night against the Kitsap Pumas.
