25 points. 11 games played. 8 wins. 2 losses. 1 draw. Those numbers apply to both the Portland Thorns and Sky Blue FC which should make it readily apparent why a win for the Thorns today -- a road win at that -- would be so important to not only the confidence of the team, but also the final point standings. Essentially, as the with the Portland Timbers against FC Dallas a week ago, the Thorns have an opportunity to score the elusive "six" points today as they'll not only earn three against SBFC, but they'll take away a potential three from them.

Final Thoughts
It's an important match today, no doubt about it. More than that, however, I think a win tonight over Sky Blue would be very gratifying for the Thorns. The last time the two played each other was at Jeld-Wen Field and the Thorns lossed 1-nil in that game. Today should be seen as an opportunity to give as good as they got.
