According to a tweet sent out this afternoon by Emmanuel Quispe, the South American Correspondent for futbolMLS.com, the Portland Timbers are looking at bringing in another player from Argentina. It is rumored that Portland is once again working with Lanus of Argentina, the club Diego Valeri used to play for, on a loan for Leandro Diaz.
Here is the tweet (Which includes a picture of Diaz):

Diaz is a 21 years old forward and has been with Lanus since the 2009/10 season. Since that time he has been loaned out twice, once with Danubio FC (Arg.) in 2009 and later with Tigre (Arg.) in 2012, and has appeared in 59 games with 27 starts. In all of his appearances he has tallied five goals and one assist in 48 shots.
I would file this one under wild until more information comes out.
