The Timbers have three more All-Stars in their line-up now with Major League Soccer's announcement of the year's inactive roster. Donovan Ricketts, Diego Valeri, and Rodney Wallace were all voted to the MLS All-Star inactive roster by the MLS players themselves.
Along the way to his nomination, Ricketts has won almost one third of the MLS Save of the Week awards this season. For their parts, Valeri and Wallace have been mentioned regularly as possible candidates for the Newcomer of the Year and Comeback Player of the Year respectively thanks to their contributions to the Timbers powerful attack and suffocating midfield.
For many Timbers fans, this is an ideal situation as more Timbers players are recognized for their play without having to risk their fitness and their health competing in the All-Star Game.
