Rose City Roundup: Cascadia Cup Edition

USA TODAY Sports

You guys have probably heard that there's a pretty big game tonight. A lot of people are talking about the game between the Portland Timbers and the Seattle Sounders, so we've collected all that into a special Cascadia Cup Roundup.

First of all, we've made all our coverage easy to find in our story stream. Sounder at Heart has their own stream going as well, which includes a piece on how we should play to beat the Sounders.

Mlssoccer.com is, to the surprise of no one I'm sure, going crazy with this game. All of the editors think we're going to lose, which probably has a lot to do with the fact that Seattle looks likely to be able to roll out their first choice starting XI. They're also debating who they'd rather build a team around--Diego Valeri or Clint Dempsey. And they really want you to know that Clint Dempsey will be there.

In case you missed it, Caleb Porter talks about Cascadia (and other things) in his Google+ hangout.

Sigi Schmid wants everyone to know it's going to be a big night.

5 Minutes to Kickoff gets in on the rivalry fun with a bit of trash talk.

Cascadia features prominently in a list of reasons why this is a great time to be a soccer fan in the United States.

Injuries, tight competition in the Western Conference, Dempsey's home debut--there are just so many storylines.

Vancouver isn't playing, but they are paying attention and making their predictions for the remaining Cascadia matches. (Spoiler: they also think we're going to lose.)

If you're going to be at the game, KickTV is asking for your help:

And I do believe I am required to include this:

Onward Rose City!
