Today in the twitterverse rumor has it that the first head coach for the new Timbers 2 team, set to begin play in the USL PRO in 2015, has been found in the form of Jay Vidovich. Head coach for the Wake Forest Men's Soccer program.

It seems like Jay Vidovich could be on his way to switching coasts and moving west to join the Timbers organization as the first head coach for the new Timbers 2 team.
Nothing has been made official yet. But Jay Vidovich has been a very successful college coach at Wake Forest in North Carolina. His bio page can be found here:

UPDATE: The Portland Timbers have confirmed that Jay Vidovich, two time NSCAA National Coach of the Year winner from Wake Forest University, is going to be the new head coach of the Timbers 2.
