Hello Everyone,
This coming Wednesday, February 19th, the American Outlaws Portland chapter and Mick Hoban will be hosting an event at the Alberta Rose Theater in Portland where Mick will be leading a discussion on how US Soccer and Jürgen Klinsmann will be approaching the Group of Death that they will be facing in Brazil this summer.
For those who are unaware, Mick is the first player that was signed by the Timbers back in 1975, he also briefly played for and was capped by the US Men's National team in 1973, and is currently the Timber's Community Ambassador. Mick and Robert Cross (the AOPDX President) have been working very hard to put together an interesting event, including a specially recorded video message from Jürgen himself to the AOPDX, a Q&A session near the end, and Nike sponsored door prizes of USMNT Gear. A portion of the proceeds from this event will be going to AC Portland.
Also, attention scarf obsessed folks, this will also be the first time the AOPDX's new World Cup "Death Becomes You" scarf will be handed out to those who pre-ordered them, and there should be some available for general sale as well (if they don't sell out between now and then).
The event is at 7pm on February 19th and costs $7 for AOPDX and 107ist members, 107ist's check the email that went out 2 days ago regarding the Membership survey, the discount code is in that email. Otherwise tickets are $10 ahead of time, $15 at the door.
Tickets can be purchased at: https://www.albertarosetheatre.com/ and more information can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/events/348130698660673/
Hope to see some of you there!
