Portland Timbers vs. Columbus Crew Prediction Thread

The Timbers host the sliding Crew today as both teams look to round into form.

Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

Going into the Portland Timbers' three game homestand, the consensus seemed to be that the team needed to come away with at least seven points. Through the first two matches they have four. With the Columbus Crew in town today, the Timbers are primed to take another three points off a struggling side missing some key players.

Can the Timbers get their second win today? How important will the Timbers' absences be? Can the Timbers jump start their attack with the addition of Fanendo Adi?

Let's get busy making some predictions.

Here is what we are looking for:

  • The final score.
  • The goalscorers.
  • The timing of the goals.

The more specific the prediction, the better.

The rules: Get your predictions in before kick-off. Correctly predicting the score is worth two points, correctly predicting a goal scorer is worth one point, and coming close to the timing of a goal is worth one point. That's about it. I reserve the right to award bonus points for excessively awesome/accurate predictions.
