Pick Six: Who Should be on the All-Star Game Ballot for the Portland Timbers?

The Timbers have plenty of potential, but who will show well enough this season to be considered an All-Star?

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

If someone asked one week ago which Portland Timbers players should be considered for the MLS All-Star Game in August, the answer probably would have been unenthusiastic, to say the least. Now, with a win under the team's belt and the ASG, as well as German champions Bayern Munich, coming to Providence Park, things are looking up for the prospects of Portland being represented by more than just Caleb Porter in August.

However, Timbers fans will remember the plight of Rodney Wallace in 2013. After breaking out on the left wing and putting up career numbers, Wallace was not present in the fan voting for the MLS starting XI.

As it turned out, each team can only have six players nominated for the fan voting and Wallace was not one of those six. Fortunately for the Timbers' winger, he was voted to the All-Stars' inactive roster, along with Donovan Ricketts and Diego Valeri. Will Johnson was voted into the starting XI.

Now, two months into the season, it is time for the Timbers' six potential all-stars to be selected once again. Weighing their performance so far against your expectations for the rest of the season, who do you think should go on the ballot for the Timbers?
