World Cup 2014 Open Thread: Day 5 [USA! USA! USA!]

The United States are finally up in the fifth day of World Cup matches.

Winslow Townson-USA TODAY Sports

The World Cup is pretty great and the record numbers of goals scored have been nice as well, but when your team plays it is fantastic. For most Timbers fans, that day is certainly today as the United States take on Ghana in the day's final match at 3:00 PM.

For fans of the USMNT in Portland, today nobody cares who Michael Bradley, Kyle Beckerman, Graham Zusi, Brad Davis, Nick Rimando, Matt Besler, Omar Gonzalez, or Chris Wondolowski play for.

Today he is not [Redacted] Dumpsey. Today he is Clint Dempsey.
