World Cup 2014 Open Thread: Day 6

Brazil is back in action as the World Cup continues.

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Well, the USA won. They may have not looked good doing it, but these three points could go a long way toward getting America into the round of 16. Although an improved standard of play would certainly help.

Brazil are back in action today, taking on Mexico in a match that could test the tournament hosts who got off to a shaky start in their first match. Mexico, meanwhile, remain the somewhat mercurial side that are capable of scoring or imploding at any given time and should make for an entertaining match, one way or another.
