Portland Thorns vs. Western New York Flash Match Thread [7:00]

The Thorns face off against the Flash for the third time this season, but this time they will have reinforcements.

The Portland Thorns are back in Portland today and are looking to get back on top of the NWSL after falling al the way to 5th place in the league standings following an uninspired road win against the Boston Breakers. Their opponents will be another team punching below their weight in the Western New York Flash, but, while the Flash have lost players to injury, the Thorns have gotten in new players as Alex Morgan, Veronica Boquette, and Stephanie Catley are all with the team and on track to see the first time this year.

Match Preview: "The Thorns begin a new chapter in their first match in June.  Alex Morganis fully participating in training and appears to be ready for her first appearance, while defender Stephanie Catley and midfielder Vero Boquete joined the Thorns this week.  Each of them brings an added dimension to an attack that has to this point struggled to put away the chances given to them."
