Update: Merritt Paulson has confirmed on Twitter that there will be no stream for Saturday but that the team is working on a solution and will announce their plans tomorrow.

With only three days before the Portland Timbers are set to take on Sporting Kansas City in their first game of the 2015 preseason, there has still been no official word on how Timbers fans will be able to follow along in the match. It appears, however, that the first game of the team's trip to Tucson, Arizona may not be available to watch outside of the Kino Sports Complex.

When the Timbers play SKC on January 31st, we have been told by the FC Tucson media staff that it is a "safe bet" that the match will not be streamed, although they did not rule out the possibility that the Timbers' two remaining friendlies, a 2/7 match against the Houston Dynamo and 2/10 match against the San Jose Earthquakes, could be available to watch online.

FC Tucson have confirmed that if any streaming will happen at the Desert Friendlies this year, they will announce it on their site and social media platforms.

In previous years the Timbers have made specific announcements sharing when their friendlies will be streamed. The 2013 and 2014 seasons both saw the Timbers stream their preseason matches when they visited Tucson, participating in the Desert Friendlies both years.
