PTFC guide to #DecisionDay

With Sporting Kansas City losing to the Colorado Rapids tonight, we now have a clear picture of what it will take for the Portland Timbers to both make the playoffs, and what each result could potentially achieve.

Lets start with the easy one, that we all know; if the Portland Timbers win, OR draw, they are guaranteed a playoff spot. The other games that can affect their seedings are:

San Jose (7th place- 47 points) @ FC Dallas (1st place- 57 Points)

LA Galaxy (2nd place- 51 points) @ Sporting Kansas City (6th place- 48 points)

Houston (8) @ Vancouver (3rd place- 50 points)

Real Salt Lake (9) @ Seattle (5th place- 48 points)

Portland will finish as the 2nd seed:

With a WIN

AND

Los Angeles LOSS or DRAW

AND

Vancouver LOSS or DRAW

Portland will finish as the 3rd seed:

With a WIN

AND

Los Angeles WIN/Vancouver LOSS or DRAW

OR

Vancouver WIN/LA Galaxy LOSS
