Groups A and B close out the opening round with everything still one the table, as Germany takes on Thailand and Ivory Coast faces Norway in simultaneous kickoffs at 1:00pm, while China plays New Zealand and Canada takes on the Netherlands to close out the day at 4:30pm.

Germany looks to close out on top of Group B after drawing 1-1 with Norway.  Nadine Angerer made 2 saves, while facing 3 shots on goal, giving up a goal on a perfectly placed free kick in 61st minute.  Thailand went down early to Ivory Coast, only to score three straight goals before giving up a late goal, then held off a late push by Les Elephants to equalize.

Ivory Coast went up early, scoring in the 4th minute, them allowed three goals to Thailand before pulling one back in the 88th minute, then hitting the frame as time ticked down to fall 3-2.  Norway was statically dominated by Germany, being out shot 27-4, but held tough, overcoming a one goal deficit as Maren Mjelde hit a perfectly placed free kick just inside the upper 90 to level the match.

China beat the Netherlands with a second half stoppage time goal by Lang Wisi, after playing a dominant match that saw them take the majority of the shots and control possession.  New Zealand found hard against the host Canada after a 30 minute weather delayed the match.  New Zealand had their chances, with Amber Hearn hitting the crossbar on a penalty kick, but they couldn't find the back of the net, settling for a point in a scoreless draw.

Canada dealt with a New Zealand side that used their physicality to disrupt the Canadian attack.  Christine Sinclair missed a couple of golden opportunities to put her side up, settling with a scoreless draw.  The Netherlands help firm for the majority of the match, despite being out possessed and out shot, but gave up a stoppage time goal to fall 1-0.
