The Round of 16 kicks off with Germany taking on Sweden at 1:00pm, followed by Cameroon versus China at 4:30pm

Germany continues to be the favorite to win their third World Cup, cruising through their first and third Group stage matches against Ivory Coast and Thailand, while settling for a draw against a strong Norway side. Sweden comes into the Round of 16 having come through the "Group of Death" finishing a surprising third behind the United States and Australia, after three consecutive draws earned them enough points to move on. A match up that wasn't likely expected until later in the World Cup, the world's #1 and #5 teams present a stiff. The winner of this match doesn't get a much easier task, as they draw the winner of France and South Korea in Montreal.

China started out the World Cup on the wrong end of a penalty call, as Canada defeated them on a stoppage time penalty conversion.  Finishing second in Group A, China defeated the Netherlands on a late goal of their own, then drew New Zealand to close out Group play.  Cameroon burst onto the scene with a 6-0 blowout win over Ecuador, then fell to Japan, and closed out Group play with a victory over Switzerland to finish second in Group C.
