Christine Sinclair, Kaylyn Kyle, and Rhian Wilkinson kick off the 2015 Women's World Cup against China at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, Alberta at 3:00pm, followed by New Zealand versus the Netherlands in the nightcap at 6:00pm.

Today's matches will feature 11 players currently playing in the National Women's Soccer League, with Canada feature 10 players, including former Thorns goalkeeper Karina LeBlanc, while New Zealand features Chicago Red Stars defender Abby Erceg.  Neither China nor the Netherlands currently features any NWSL players.

The host Canadian side will look to start the Cup off strong against a Chinese side they faced earlier this year in the BanAn Cup in Shenzen, China, which Canada took 2-1, as Sinclair netted a brace in the 63rd and 64th minute after going down a goal after Gu Yasha put China up 1-0 in the 31st minute,
