Reminder: Timbers Army Block Party Saturday

The Timbers Army will be holding a Block Party Saturday, August 15th, 3:00pm - 9:30pm, on SW Alder between SW 16th & 17th.

Tomorrow the Timbers take on Real Salt Lake in Sandy, Utah. For those of you who aren't lucky enough to be able to make the away trip there are always many options for away viewing here in town. But tomorrow there will be another addition.

The Timbers Army will be hosting their 2nd Annual Block Party, right in front of the fanladen, from 3pm to 9:30pm. And there will be tons of stuff to do all afternoon. Including ending the afternoon with a multiple-screen outdoor viewing party for the 7pm kickoff of the Timbers vs RSL match.

  • The Booked! Library will be open so you can come in and check out the collection, meet the librarians, and there will also be coloring for kids and adults.
  • There will be a beer garden for those 21 and over, with $4 beers for 107ist members.
  • Bouncy castle for the kids!
  • DJs
  • Food vendors
  • Games for adults, raffles, prizes, merch, and more
  • Dunk Tank (more on this in a bit)
  • Multiple-screen outdoor viewing party of the 7pm match between Portland Timbers and Real Salt Lake. Brought to you by 107ist partner, Alpine Mortgage.

With the dunk tank, it is $5 for 3 chances to sink your target. All of the 107ist board will be participating in the tank, and you can even "Dunk a Stumptown Footy Writer" as yours truly will be participating! If you want to sink a blogger, that time window will be 6:20pm - 6:40pm. All proceeds benefit the 107ist community fund.

So if you are in town, want to have a lot of fun, and know that anything you spend benefits the community, plan on hitting downtown Portland tomorrow. And feel free to save up your money and take a shot at me when I'm in the tank, you know you want to! And I'm going to be there, hoping to meet as many of our readers and community as possible!

Where: SW Alder St, between SW 16th and SW 17th ave in downtown Portland, OR

Details: Beer garden, bouncy castle, DJs, dunk tank, food, merch, prizes, and an outdoor viewing party!

Dunk Tank: Kevin will be in the tank from 6:20pm - 6:40pm. $5 for 3 balls. All proceeds go to the 107ist community fund. Dunk Tank will be starting at 3:00pm with 107ist Board Members.
