The Portland Timbers are back on the road today and set to take on Orlando City SC in their second road match of the season. With March out of the way and their first win already in the books, the Timbers will be looking to show off some of the road form that propelled them into the playoffs after the 2015 season.
Of course, the Timbers will be facing off against the returning Orlando captain Kaka with a back line still recovering from the early season spate of injuries that hit the side, so a complete effort on both sides of the ball will be necessary.
Previews
Quick Preview: "Whichever player does get the start, they will need to be prepared to face off against a smart and fluid Orlando attack as the Brazilian legend Kaka is set to return to the Orlando lineup. With Kaka on hand, Orlando will likely look to use their playmaker to -- like they did last year -- drag the Timbers' midfield out of position and exploit the ensuing spaces that are created in which to work."
Preview Interview: "Also, there's no way Orlando City would have rallied to draw Real Salt Lake a year ago from two goals down in stoppage time. If the team wasn't generating chances it would be more worrisome. Those were in short supply last year. Also, in last year's form, those draws would have been late losses."
