Now we are into the thick of things as this year's early-summer tournaments are now both underway. For soccer fans, this fact manifests itself as just a boatload of soccer to watch, before one even gets to the likes of Portland Timbers 2 -- who will be paying this afternoon at Merlo Field.
Before that, however, the United States will take to the pitch for their third, and potentially final, match of the Copa America as Group A kicks off the final round of group stage matches. After playing the same line up twice in the first two games, however, it remains possible that Portland Timbers talisman Darlington could be given a spot in the XI by Jurgen Klinsmann. Colombia and Costa Rica will also play this evening to round out the group.
Meanwhile, across the Atlantic ocean, the Euros are in full swing after kicking off yesterday and today will feature a full slate of games after the host nation, France, kicked things off on Friday.
