Today is a big one for American soccer fans as the United States Men's Nation Team has advanced out of their group, beating out Colombia for the top seed, and will now face Ecuador in Seattle in the Copa America quarterfinals. After three straight games with the same lineup, however, the US will be forced into a change following DeAndre Yedlin's ill-considered set of tackles that earned him a red card against Paraguay. That change probably will not open the door for Darlington Nagbe to get on the pitch, so the best that US fans from Portland can hope for is a strong showing from whomever replaces the former Seattle product.
Of course, the Copa is not the only competition going on right now. While Wales-England has already wrapped up this morning, there are still two more fixtures to go in today's European Championship action. At 9:00 the Ukraine will take on Northern Ireland, then at noon Germany will face Poland.
