The Portland Timbers play tomorrow, but the United States Men’s National Team play today, taking on Colombia for third place in the Copa America Centenario. After losing 4-0 to Argentina, the US will be hoping to bounce back with a more competitive show against one of the top sides in the world.
Adding some extra intrigue to tonight’s match is the still bafflingly slim possibility of Darlington Nagbe getting some playing time. After five games of Jurgen Klinsmann wasting everyone’s time on that front, maybe we will see more than just garbage-time minute for Nagbe and the US’s other most interesting player not to see any playing time, Christian Pulisic.
Of course, the starting lineups are out and Nagbe is not in the XI, but we can still dream of a halftime sub, right?
