The Portland Thorns have signed defender Jennifer Skogerboe, the team announced Friday.

Skogerboe, 24, recently appeared for Czech side FC Slovacko, making 10 starts.  She previously played for Thorns' head coach Mark Parsons as a member of the Washington Spirit Reserves from 2012-2015, making two appearances as an amateur call-up in 2014 and 2015.

Skogerboe will be added to the roster once the Thorns receive her International Transfer Certificate.

Additionally, the NWSL announced that the Thorns have called up amateur players Maureen Fitzgerald, Sam Lofton, and Shade Pratt for this weekend's match against Sky Blue FC.

Fitzgerald and Pratt were previously called up for the May 29 match against Seattle.  Pratt played 18 minutes in the match.

Lofton, a defender, was drafted by the Boston Breakers in the 2015 Draft (20th overall), but did not make an appearance during the 2015 season.  She was a member of the Washington Spirit Reserves in 2014, starting every match for them that season, and was named to the W-League Best XI, and was a finalist for Defender of the Year and Rookie of the Year.  She played collegiately at James Madison University from 2010-2014, making 80 appearances (74 starts), scoring 6 goals and adding 12 assists.
