Portland Timbers at Deportivo Saprissa: How to Watch, Match Chat [7:00]

Troy Wayrynen-USA TODAY Sports

The Portland Timbers are on the road for today's midweek match as they take on Costa Rican side Deportivo Saprissa in CONCACAF Champions League play. With their eyes set on the top of the group, a result here for the Timbers will go a long way toward that goal.

Coming into this match, the Timbers have not shown much of their hand as they manage a busy week, including last Saturday's 1-0 win over Real Salt Lake, tonight's match against Saprissa, and a league clash on Saturday against Eastern Conference visitors the Philadelphia Union. While we can be fairly sure that Liam Ridgewell is still in Portland and will not feature in Costa Rica, the rest of the side is up in the air, but seems likely to feature a number of first XI players, mixed in with other members of the Timbers' regular 18, including CONCACAF Champions League scoring legend Jack McInerney.
