It’s time for another international break where we root on our country and hope no one comes back with an injury. As is normal now, Darlington Nagbe has been called up to participate in the last round of World Cup Qualifying. The U.S. Men are in a tough spot as they need to win out in the Hex to avoid a playoff scenario with either Australia or Syria.
The United States will be taking on Panama (Oct. 6th) at home and then travel to Trinidad and Tobago (Oct. 10th). Nagbe will not miss any games as MLS will all but shut down for the international break. He’ll be back in time for the Timbers to take on D.C. United on October 15th. He has 22 caps for his country including a nice run during the Gold Cup 2017 winning campaign.
