Coverage Hub: Portland Timbers at Vancouver Whitecaps

Welcome to Stumptown Footy’s coverage of the final 2018 MLS Regular Season match. The Portland Timbers, currently in fifth place, travel North to face the out-of-the-playoffs Vancouver Whitecaps. PTFC could, in theory, move up the standings as far as second, but would require other results to go their way in order to break out of fifth.

What strategy will the Timbers use in regards to their lineup? Will they rest some starters in preparation for their midweek playoff match? Or will they go all out and hope for the Seattle Sounders or FC Dallas to lose in order to snag a home knockout round match?
