Andy Polo makes Peru’s provisional World Cup Roster

Polo could be on his way to Russia!

MLS: Minnesota United FC at Portland Timbers Jaime Valdez-USA TODAY Sports

While a lot of World Cup teams released their squads on Monday, Peru decided to keep us waiting - they even published a statement that the only roster that counts is the one that comes from the official Peru channels. So we waited, and finally we have been rewarded with the provisional roster for Peru.

This is a 25 man roster and by the fourth of June they will have to cut it down to 23 for the World Cup. As you can see, Portland Timbers Midfielder Andy Polo has made the roster, and if he ends up going to Russia, he will become the second current Timber to ever get a World Cup call-up.

I’m not sure if Polo is a shoo-in or not on this squad. But the odds are in his favor as only two players will be cut from this roster to make the trip to Russia.

Good luck from everyone at Stumptown Footy to Andy Polo on making Peru’s World Cup 2018 roster.
