The Portland Thorns won an exciting 2-0 match over the Orlando Pride on Saturday night, which helps continue their race to the playoffs.
The early goings of the game appeared to be heavily dominated by the Orlando Pride, as they put pressure on Portland and created some early corner kicks and chances. However, the Thorns adjusted well, particularly in the second half, to the formation of the Pride. The first goal was off a short corner put into the box by Tobin Heath, which Ana-Maria Crnogorcevic flicked into the path of Lindsey Horan. The second goal was a great effort and finish by Hayley Raso, as the determination she was showing all night translated into a goal. Franch and the defense managed to keep a clean sheet and performed impressively. Overall, this was a great match for the Thorns to build the next performances on and gain confidence from the excellent road win.
There were lots of positives to take away from this win, as well as players who showed their skills and abilities in this game. In your opinion, which Thorns player had the best performance of this match?
