The W-League Grand Final is here. Sydney FC made it through last week’s clash with Hayley Raso and the Brisbane Roar intact to set up a date with Sam Kerr’s Perth Glory, and at a reasonable time on the West Coast to boot!
⚽ On the eve of the #WLeagueGF, @thepfa has revealed the 2018/19 PFA @WLeague Team of the Season!

Caitlin Foord is the only Thorn represented in tonight’s Grand Final, but she’s a worthy one, having made the W-League team of the year due to her pivotal role in Sydney’s dangerous front three. Last year Foord brought her team to the W-League semifinal where she suffered a serious foot injury that caused her to miss most of her first season at the Thorns, but she recovered to play a strong and complete season in Australia. After two straight seasons where Thorns have won silverware in the W-League, with Celeste Boureille and Hayley Raso both having won the Shield for Canberra and Brisbane in 2017 and 2018, the Thorns are relying on Sydney to deliver three in three years.
