Providence Park expansion timeline has led to challenging road schedule for Portland Timbers -
The Portland Timbers' deep run in the 2018 MLS Cup playoffs extended the timeline for the expansion project at Providence Park. The Timbers had originally hoped to play only six or seven games on the road to open the 2019 season.
