Tuiloma is the second Timber to be recognized in week 9 of the MLS season

Center back Bill Tuiloma nails down GOTW for week nine of the MLS Season. The goal would come in the 22nd minute, from a Diego Valeri corner kick. Tuiloma would peel off the back post and head to the top of the 18, where while momentum was taking him away from the back post, he could only swivel his hips and connect with a volley.

That volley would end up in the back of the Toronto net, and put the score back level at 1-1.

The Timbers would go on to beat Toronto FC for their second win of the season, which would pull them out of last place in the West and only three points off a playoff spot at this point in the season.

The Timbers continue their early season 12-game road trip in Sandy, Utah, to take on Real Salt Lake this Saturday. Keep checking back as Stumptown Footy gets geared up for this weekend’s matchup.
