MLS announced on Thursday that Saturday’s match between the Portland Timbers and the Colorado Rapids has been postponed due to the influx of positive cases of COVID-19 for Colorado. The two teams will face off instead on Nov. 4.
The Rapids have had 14 people (four players and 10 staff members) within the organization test positive for COVID. Colorado also had to postpone their match against Sporting Kansas City last Sunday due to the initial positive tests coming through.
All players and staff members who have tested positive are in self isolation and their training facility has been closed since Sept. 24. We will update as more information comes through. You can read the full statement here.
