For the second week in a row, the Portland Timbers had three players named to the MLS Team of the Week, with Jaroslaw Niezgoda, Steve Clark, and Diego Chara all making the cut. Niezgoda and Clark were both named starters while Chara earned a bench spot.
Those three players all had strong performances in their 3-0 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes last night. Niezgoda had a brace, Clark made some key saves when the game was close, and Chara had two assists on the night.
