MLS announced today that Portland Timbers forward Jeremy Ebobisse was voted MLS Player of the Week for Week 16. This is Ebobisse’s first time winning the honor.

Ebobisse put together an excellent match against the LA Galaxy last night, earning a brace in the 6-3 win. The forward is responsible for nine goals this regular season (seven goals, two assists) and is responsible for 11 goals (8 goals, three assists) across all 2020 competitions. Last night’s match against the Galaxy also marked his 72nd straight match played in, tying the club record for consecutive matches played across all competitions.
