The Portland Timbers announced Monday night that striker Jaroslaw Niezgoda successfully underwent ACL surgery. He is expected to return in six to eight months.
Niezgoda tore his ACL in Portland’s Nov. 1 win against the Vancouver Whitecaps. The Polish striker had seven goals and one assist in his first year with the Timbers, including two braces. He was the second player to tear his ACL on the Timbers, with Sebastian Blanco doing so back in September.
