A group of MLSsoccer.com personalities made their picks for who will thrive in the Audi 2020 MLS Cup Playoffs, which are slated to start on Nov. 20. It’s a tradition like none other in sports: taking a bracket and trying to figure out who will finish where and how good and bad each team actually is.
So how did the Portland Timbers fare in these particular brackets? Well, if the brackets are anything to go by, then there is not a ton of faith that Portland will be hoisting the trophy on Dec. 12. Two things stand out:
- No personality had the Timbers making it past the semifinals in the West.
- Only four of the six personalities had the Timbers beating Dallas.
Overall, it seems that assuming that Portland makes it by FC Dallas isn’t a sure thing, and it won’t matter if they run into the Seattle Sounders — who almost every personality had as the favorite in the West except one. You can see the full brackets here.
