Remember Mimi’s Fresh Tees? Well, Simone Charley of Portland Thorns FC has collaborated with Mimi’s to sell t-shirts celebrating female athletes.
Charley has been a champion of Mimi’s throughout this year and was one of the main drivers in getting Portland to play for Mimi’s in the Fall Series. The Thorns secured a $25,000 grant from the NWSL when they won the Verizon Community Shield back in October for the company. Charley talked about what it meant to win the shield for Mimi’s last month on Twitch, which you can watch here.
Charley isn’t the only Portland soccer player Mimi’s has teamed up with. They also collaborated with Portland Timbers forward Jeremy Ebobisse, with shirts that had messages like “Make Racism Wrong Again” and “Love Over Hate.”
You can click the link here to check out some shirts for yourself. You can also read Jamie Goldberg’s story about the collaboration in The Oregonian here.
