It has been a stellar 2020 for Kuikka. The Finland native was one of the best players on the country’s international team, helping lead them to victory against Scotland in the European Championship qualifiers. Kuikka also celebrated winning the Damallsvenskan title with Goteborg FC back in November. She had six goals in 45 matches over two seasons.
Kuikka is joining the Thorns for next season after signing a two-year contract back in October. She played college soccer in the U.S. with Florida State, where she earned All-American honors in 2016 and 2018 while also winning the national title her senior year.
