The Portland Timbers return to the pitch tonight to take on Real Salt Lake at Providence Park. The Timbers are coming off of a loss to the Seattle Sounders and looking to rebound. Real Salt Lake are coming off a 4-1 drubbing of the Colorado Rapids. RSL is currently sixth in the table, while the Timbers sit in fourth and looking to climb up.
With the break in action (I’m not going to get into the particulars here, but you know what I’m talking about), Timbers now come into this match fully rested. If I’m Gio, I’d send out the strongest XI I can. RSL is not a team to look over, that’s for sure. As far as injuryies go, both Dairon Asprilla and Blake Bodily are ruled out and Yimi Chara is listed as questionable for tonight’s match. For a usually injury-prone Timbers, this is good news.
