This is the second time that the opening match for the Thorns has needed rescheduling due to the wildfires currently ravaging Oregon and the rest of the Pacific Northwest. The two teams were originally scheduled to play on Sept.12 before that was postponed. The fires have burned more than a million acres in Portland and the air quality has been at hazardous levels for several days.
