Portland Thorns FC re-signs Simone Charley to two-year deal

The forward scored two goals in 2020 for the Thorns.

Portland Thorns FC announced on Friday that they have re-signed forward Simone Charley to a two-year contract. It’s the second re-signing the Thorns have announced this week, with the club bringing back Emily Menges on a three-year contract yesterday.

Charley has been with the Thorns since 2019, appearing in 21 matches (13 starts) and notching two goals and three assists, her first career goal coming in the Challenge Cup against Sky Blue FC. In 2020, Charley appeared in all 10 matches the Thorns played, tallying two goals and one assist.
