Lindsey Horan, Crystal Dunn, Sophia Smith, and Becky Sauerbrunn all made the 27-player training camp roster.

Netherlands v USWNT

U.S. Soccer announced on Wednesday its 27-player roster for its January training camp, which included four players from Portland Thorns FC: Lindsey Horan, Crystal Dunn, Becky Sauerbrunn, and Sophia Smith.

The camp will run from Jan. 9 to Jan. 22, with two matches versus Colombia marking the end of the camp. The first match will take place on Jan. 18 and the second match will be on Jan. 22.

Three of the four Thorns to make the training camp roster have been mainstays of the national team. Sauerbrunn has been a constant presence in the backline throughout 178 career appearances while Horan and Dunn were both nominated for U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year in 2020. Dunn was the only player to play and start in all nine matches while Horan was tied for the most goals (seven) and assists (three) on the team.

Smith also rejoins the training camp roster after earning her first senior team cap on Nov. 27 against the Netherlands. She is the youngest player on the roster and the first player born in the 2000s to earn a cap.
