The National Women’s Soccer League announced today that Portland Thorns’ postponed match against OL Reign will be played on Oct. 13. The match will kick off at 7:30 p.m. PST at Providence Park. The game will be broadcast on Paramount+.
This is a top of the table clash between the first-place Portland Thorns and second-place OL Reign. Three points separate the two teams as the NWSL regular season winds down. This rivalry match could have substantial implications on which team wins the NWSL Shield at the end of the regular season.
The final Cascadia clash of the regular season was originally scheduled for Oct. 2. It was postponed due to the league and players coming to an agreement after the news of the alleged sexual coercion of players by Paul Riley.
Tickets from the earlier date are automatically good for the match on Oct. 13. If a ticket holder would prefer credit or a refund, the Member Services Department will reach out.
