The Black Women’s Player Collective have partnered with Wildly LLC for “The Call Up.” The series is a short form narrative that will be released as a docuseries. One of the players featured will be Portland Thorns FC’s Crystal Dunn. “The Call Up” will take a close-up look at the Black professional female athletes in the U.S. and their experiences.
Nils Clauson released four teaser videos that feature specific athletes. The short videos were released in a thread. The Black female athletes highlighted were Margaret Purce (Sky Blue FC), Jasmine Spencer (OL Reign), Sarah Gorden (Chicago Red Stars) and Dunn (Portland Thorns FC).

The Black Women’s Player Collective is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2020. The organization “that elevates the image, value, and representation of black women as athletes and leaders in business, industry and public and private institutions.”
Wildly is a documentary studio co-founded by Nils Clauson located in the Pacific Northwest. Wildly has previously partnered with Olympic Athletes in New Zealand, OL Reign, rural fishing communities in China, and more.
