The Portland Timbers are headed to the Grand Canyon State. The club announced on Wednesday their preseason schedule, which will feature four matches as a part of their preseason camp in Tucson, AZ and one more match in the Pacific Northwest.
The Timbers will arrive in Tucson on March 15 and will play four matches over nine days in the Visit Tucson Sun Cup. The winner will be determined by total points earned over the course of three matches in the final two weeks of preseason play. There will be no webstream for the preseason matches.
Portland will play two matches on Tuesday, March 16 at the Kino Sports Complex. They’ll face off against the Colorado Rapids before taking on Phoenix Rising FC later that same day. Then they’ll have a match against Phoenix again on Saturday, March 20, before finishing off their Arizona schedule against Sporting Kansas City on Wednesday, March 24.
Portland’s preseason won’t end in Arizona. They’ll play one more match against the Seattle Sounders on Tuesday, March 30 at Starfire Sports in Tukwilla, WA. to finish off their preseason.
