The NWSL announced the full 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup schedule and broadcast details on Tuesday. The competition will be made up of 21 matches. Portland Thorns, who are in the West group, open play against KC NWSL in Providence Park. The match will kickoff at 7:30 p.m. on April 9 and will be broadcast on Paramount+.
The Thorns will then travel to Chicago to take on the Red Stars on April 15 at 4:30 pm. This match will also be available on Paramount+. The third match sees Portland host their Cascadia rivals OL Reign. That match will kickoff at 7 p.m. on April 21 and will be broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network. The Thorns final group match is slated for 4:30 p.m. on May 2. Portland will travel to Houston to take on the Dash and it will be available on Paramount+.
All matches will be available internationally on Twitch, including in Canada for all matches not on CBS Sports Network.
The winners of the East and West group will meet in the Challenge Cup Final on May 8. The site of the match is undecided.
