The National Women’s Soccer League announced today the following disciplinary decisions after a review of the matches.

Portland Thorns FC appealed Morgan Weaver’s red card, which was issued in the 91st minute of the Thorns’ match against Kansas City. The club’s appeal was successful and the red card and suspension were overturned by the league’s Independent Review Panel.

The league issued fines to the Thorn’s Meghan Klingenberg for her comments in the post-match press conference and a social media post “which were determined in violation of Section 12.1.4 (e) “Prejudicial Statements and Public Criticism” of the League Operations Manual.”

The Portland Thorns return to action against the Chicago Red Stars on Thursday. The match will kick off at SeatGeek Stadium in Chicago at 4:30 p.m. (Pacific). Portland will still be without their United States and Canadian internationals. They will also be without Simone Charley and Mark Parsons, who were both sent off against Kansas City. Morgan Weaver will be available following the successful appeal.
