Mastercard announced today that it is partnering with the NWSL to strengthen its commitment to promoting the brand of women’s soccer and its fans. The league and Mastercard will work to elevate fan experiences. Portland Thorns FC’s Crystal Dunn has been named one of the Mastercard Global Brand Ambassadors.

“We are excited to welcome Mastercard as one of our Top Tier Partners, a brand with a storied history of creating priceless fan experiences,” said NWSL Commissioner Lisa Baird. “We have the best fans out there. Their commitment to the sport is unrivaled. They deserve to have an experience on par with any major sports league, and that time has arrived. The planned Mastercard activations have the power to unite and energize not only our current fan base, but to bring even more fans in, truly benefitting our players and women’s soccer overall.”

Mastercard will roll out Priceless experiences virtually and in person to celebrate the new partnership with the league. Starting today the VIP Game Day Experience is live on Priceless.com. The experience will be held in person at NWSL matches in accordance with all state regulations. More experiences like this will become available throughout the season.

The VIP Game Day Experience gives fans the opportunity to watch their favorite NWSL team at a regular season match. The winning fan and three guests will have the best seats in the stadium and will receive a VIP game day experience to enjoy pre-match warm-ups, premium seats, a prepaid Mastercard for food and drinks and a team gear swag bag.

Mastercard will also create a soccer themed curriculum for its signature science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) program as part of the partnership. Girks4Tech Mastercard will also invest in educating players on their own financial wellness which will allow them to bring more omnipresence to sports across gender.

“I’m thrilled to be a global ambassador for Mastercard,” said Dunn. “Our values are aligned in connection, diversity and inclusion. I am confident that together we will build priceless opportunities for women’s soccer fans and players across the country.”
