As a part of a league-wide movement from the Black Women’s Players Collective, BWPC and Portland Thorns FC are hosting a food drive prior to their match against Kansas City NWSL this coming Sunday at Providence Park.

Portland Thorns FC hosts Kansas City NWSL on Sunday, June 20th at 1:00 p.m. PT. You can donate to the Oregon Food Bank Network on matchday. Bins will be located outside Providence Park and at the front gates. Donations should be canned or non-perishable food.

The food drive will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, June 20th at 1844 SW Morrison St. Portland, OR 97205.

Black communities traditionally honor Juneteenth with cookouts. The Oregon Food Bank Network and the Black Women’s Player Collective want to make sure everyone has the chance to celebrate.

Please consider supporting the BWPC and the Oregon Food Bank Network with your canned or nonperishable food donations before matchday. You can also support the Black Women’s Player Collective by donating to the organization’s GoFundMe.
